Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about Cidney and kidney health screening.
What is ACR?
The Albumin-to-Creatinine Ratio is the test doctors use to detect early kidney damage — before symptoms appear.
A protein that healthy kidneys keep in your blood. When kidneys are damaged, albumin leaks into urine — the earliest warning sign.
A concentration marker ensuring your albumin reading is accurate regardless of how dilute your urine sample is.
By comparing both, Cidney gives you a reliable screening — the same method recommended by KDIGO, ISN, and the ADA.
Three steps. One minute.
Dip the strip
Hold in urine stream for 1–2 seconds or dip in a clean cup. Place pad-side up on tissue.
Wait 60 seconds
Compare albumin pad at 50 sec and creatinine pad at 60 sec to the color chart.
Know your status
Normal means kidneys are filtering well. Abnormal means consult your doctor — early detection saves kidneys.
